Well for Aussie basketball fans it is well known that Andrew Bogut has moved to another level in the NBA this season. Tonight was no exception.
Bogut scored 24 points (on 12 of 15 shooting), pulled down 20 boards and blocked 5 shots. For those playing NBA fantasy, that is stat line that will make you happy. For those Aussiebball fans it also makes us happy. Not only did he have a great game, he also did it against David Lee, who was picked ahead of him in the NBA allstar game. Do I sense a bit of pay back fro the Bogey Man?
Next up for the Bucks and Bogut are New Orleans and Indiana, could be some more monster games coming

The Portland Trail Blazers recalled rookie guard Patty Mills on Saturday from the team's NBA Development League team the Idaho Stampede (Mills averaged 26 points, 5 assists in five games in the NBADL)
Mills will join the Blazers for tonight's road game against Detroit to help fill in for Brandon Roy (strained hamstring) and Jerryd Bayless (sprained ankle).
Hopefully Patty get some minutes to show what he has got, and luck goes his way for once.

Well these were not the words from Andrew Bogut (we are sure he has more class than that). But the latest list of Australia's richest sporting stars has just come out and Bogut now ranks as Australia #2 at a cool $14 million a year.
Now to all those young Aussie's that are giving up basketball and heading the AFL, maybe you should think again! Bogut earns $14 Million, that is a cool $6 million more than the entire roster at the Collingwood football club in the AFL which is set at just under $8 million.

Now lets have a look at the box score of the Bucks current west coast road trips (Lakers, Suns and Blazers), Jennings has not scored over 14 points is shooting a horrible less than 30% from the field. Bogut has not scored over 13 points in a game and has only made 9 shots in 3 games. As you can guess the Bucks have also been well beaten in all of these games Lakers 77-95, Suns 101-105 and Blazers 108-120, the Bucks are now also without Michael Redd who is now out for the season with another ACL.
But the show must continue and the Bucks play the Golden State Warriors today (Aussie time). Now lets trace back to November 14 2009, the first round selection for the Bucks Brandon Jennings dropped an amazing 55 points on the Warriors. Add to that the fact that before this west coast road trip, Bogut had been averaging 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in his previous 3 games. Can we expect big thing from the Buck to prime time players against a Warriors team that has not played defense since the 2008 playoff win over the Mavs?
I like to think this could get the Bucks road trip back on track
Patrick Mills has made a very successful come back from injury in a debut for the Idaho Stampede scoring 38 points (7 of 10 from behind the arc) and 12 dimes to go with it, he only had 1 turnover the whole game. Its only his first in the NBA's development league and only his first real competitive game in almost 6 months. The more games Patty can string together like this the closer he is gets to some NBA minutes for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Yesterday another Aussie in Luke Nevill also had a good game in the NBADL for the Utah Flash, scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Portland Trail Blazers, who drafted Mills in the second round this year's NBA draft, have assigned him to the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League to get some much needed match fitness.
Mills fractured a bone in his right foot during an NBA Summer League practice session July 9. He had surgery on his foot and only just recently completed his rehabilitation.

Saint Mary's freshman guard Matthew Dellavedova (Maryborough, Australia) was named the West Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday. Andrew Bogut poured in 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as the Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the Portland Trail Blazers, 108-101, in a double-overtime thriller at the Bradley Center.
Luke Ridnour added 20 points off the bench for the Bucks, who had lost five in a row to Portland prior to Saturday. Brandon Jennings tallied 18 points and 11 assists, Ersan Ilyasova had 11 points and eight rebounds and Michael Redd chipped in 11 points for Milwaukee, which has won two in a row following a four-game skid.
"We showed a lot of character tonight," said Bogut. "Last year's team, we probably would have bit the dust and probably lost in that one overtime, but we believed tonight."
