In the lead-up to the National Basketball League (NBL) Finals series, fans will now be able to watch two extra blockbuster games with major playoff implications LIVE after FOX SPORTS extended their broadcast coverage.
FOX SPORTS have announced that they have added LIVE coverage of the blockbuster Victorian local derby between the South Dragons and Melbourne Tigers on Australia Day (26 January) and the South Dragons versus Adelaide 36ers clash on 4 February to their schedule.
Both games are expected to play significant roles in determining the final make-up of the top six for the NBL Finals, which commence on 18 February.
The Dragons-Tigers derby is expected to be a pre-game sell-out on Australia Day, with tickets for the clash between the Tigers (currently third) and the Dragons (first) at the 3,500-seat State Netball Hockey Centre already a hot commodity. A crowd of 9,308 packed Hisense Arena earlier this season on 18 October to witness the two bitter rivals go head-to-head and the Dragons run out 108-80 victors.
The newly-announced coverage of the Dragons-36ers clash at Hisense Arena will also be highly-anticipated. The 36ers are desperately holding on to the sixth and final playoff berth, whilst the top-placed Dragons are looking to secure the minor premiership and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.
LIVE coverage of both games will commence on FOX SPORTS at 7:30 PM AEDT.
